3 Things I Learned about Abortion

It took me far too long (into my thirties!) to realize these three things:

  1. Abortion is a human rights issue.

  2. Abortion dismembers an unborn child.

  3. I can speak for the unborn.

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, baptized at age eight, served an 18-month mission, and am committed to my faith.

In high school, I had a vague idea of what abortion was, and I knew it was wrong, but I didn’t think it had anything to do with me. It wasn’t spoken of; it wasn’t my world.

Now, I understand the “how”—that abortion poisons, suctions, and dismembers the unborn. And I see abortion’s impact on women, families, and society.

I choose to speak for those who don’t have a voice.

And I’m speaking to young people in the Church. I see the lies and deception that you have to navigate, and I worry that you’ll believe them.

I hope this website helps you reach out to our Savior Jesus Christ and understand His love for you.

I hope you understand that your life—and all life—has value.

I hope you study the plan of salvation.

I pray you’ll have courage to ask for help.

You are not alone!
